REMAX - Canada's Favourite Agents

A Guide to Your Membership Features

The following information is not meant to be a comprehensive listing of all RE/MAX services.  The system is constantly evolving as we keep pace with a rapidly changing industry and ever-improving technologies.  Additionally, the services supplied by your office are not touched on this booklet.  This is meant as a quick directional guide for finding more information on some of the major benefits and services that accompany your RE/MAX affiliation.

Throughout this booklet are repeated references to RE/MAX Mainstreet, remax.net, remax.com and remax.ca.  RE/MAX Mainstreet is the RE/MAX network’s members-only extranet Web site, which is open to all RE/MAX Associates.  The Web sites remax.com and remax.ca are our consumer sites.  All are described in more detail later in this booklet.

The best way to keep abreast of any changes relating to the services described in this booklet is to closely monitor RE/MAX Mainstreet.

National/International Recognition
- RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon
With the largest hot-air balloon fleet in the world, at 95 balloons, a RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon is in the air an equivalent of more than nine months straight every year.

- RE/MAX Balloon Logo
The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon is the most recognized symbol in real estate, a reflection of ever-expanding market share.  The balloon logo soars on RE/MAX advertising and promotion worldwide.  We encourage you to use this symbol prominently in all your advertising and promotion efforts.  You can download high-resolution balloon logos from RE/MAX Mainstreet.

- National Advertising
RE/MAX TV commercials can be seen on the TV screens in millions of homes making billions of viewing impressions annually.  A listing of RE/MAX TV commercials scheduled to run is sent monthly to every office in North America.  Accompanying print ads are produced and can be purchased by Regions, Offices, and individual Agents.  The ads can be tagged with customized contact information.  See the RE/MAX Advertising brochure for ordering information or contact the RE/MAX International Creative and Promotion Fund at (303) 770-5531 ext. 3672.  Check RE/MAX Mainstreet for more advertising support materials from RE/MAX of Western Canada.

Public Relations

RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship

The RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship, featuring the world’s longest hitters in golf, has become a December tradition on ESPN and ESPN2, with broadcasts reaching more than 10 million viewers.  Offices and Agents can gain prominent local exposure by hosting one of the more than 300 local and regional qualifying events, which attract more than 15,000 men, senior, women and junior competitors from 15 countries.  For information on hosting or sponsoring an event, contact Marian McShannic at RE/MAX International, (303)796-3689.

RE/MAX in Motorsports
RE/MAX was the first real estate organization to capitalize on and build brand awareness through motorsports.  Research shows motorsports fans are more brand-loyal than in any other sport, with more than 70 percent of fans seeking out and using sponsors’ products and services.  RE/MAX in Motorsports generates more than a half billion RE/MAX brand impressions annually.  You can follow the nationally televised ARCA RE/MAX Series through the “News & Events” section (under “Inside RE/MAX”) of remax.com.

Press Releases
Press releases covering a variety of activities, events and news about the RE/MAX network are posted on remax.com, remax.ca and RE/MAX Mainstreet.  The releases can be downloaded and customized to submit to local media.  You are also encouraged to submit story ideas to your RE/MAX region’s public relations staff.  When it comes to real estate news, the media sees RE/MAX as the Realtor of choice for news and views.

Trademark and Graphic Standards Manual
Available as a PDF file on RE/MAX Mainstreet, the RE/MAX Trademark and Graphic Standards manual precisely outlines how to use RE/MAX marks and images.  Detailed standards regarding colours, dimensions and content help ensure that the power of the RE/MAX marks will not be diminished or diluted by inconsistent use.  You can retrieve most RE/MAX logos from the Downloads area of RE/MAX Mainstreet.  The trademark manual also outlines certain business practices, which, because they are inconsistent with standards of quality service associated with RE/MAX brand and marks, are considered violations of RE/MAX quality control standards.  For questions regarding RE/MAX trademark and graphic standards, contact Bob Brown in the RE/MAX International Standards and Quality Control Department, (303)770-5531, ext. 3561 or comp@remax.net.  To report trademark infringement matters (unlawful use of the RE/MAX marks), contact Lori Douglas in the RE/MAX International Legal Department at (303)796-3612.
