Calgary, AB - RE/MAX of Western Canada in association with The Brick and the Western Hockey League announced the winners of the RE/MAX Home Team Contest today.
The RE/MAX Home Team Contest ran online from March 1 – April 30, 2012 and provided Western Canadian fans the opportunity to win $25,000 in Home Entertainment Prizing. Fans were required to visit the customized online RE/MAX Home Team Contest and complete the various stages of the contest in order to be entered for a chance to win.
The contest received just shy of 19,000 entries, with the following contestants announced as the winners:
Graham Bruce of West Kelowna, BC was awarded the $15,000 Home Entertainment Grand Prize Package consisting of $5,000 cash from RE/MAX of Western Canada and a $10,000 prize from The Brick.
Sunny Randhawa of Burnaby, BC, Rita Wolfe of Saskatoon, SK, Chad Bleasdale of Port Alberni, BC, and Brad Kinchen of Indian Head, SK were the 2nd Place Prize Winners. This package consisted of a $2,500 The Brick Gift Card for each contestant.

The Western Hockey League started with just seven teams based in the provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta in 1966. The WHL now has representation in all four Western Canadian provinces and the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington. The WHL consists of 22 member Clubs with 17 based in Canadian markets and 5 in the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
The WHL is a member of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) whose membership is comprised of three major junior hockey leagues: Ontario Hockey League (OHL), Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and the Western Hockey League (WHL). At the conclusion of each League's playoffs, the CHL hosts the MasterCard Memorial Cup. A National Championship tournament involving each of the League's Champion and the tournament host.
The Western Hockey League's Head Office is located in Calgary, Alberta and is responsible to administer all functions related to League operations. Under the direction of the WHL Commissioner, the WHL Head Office functions include: game supervision, scheduling, League meetings, player drafts, agreements and scholarships player transactions, finance, marketing, media relations, communications and statistics/results.
