Kelowna, British Columbia -- RE/MAX of Western Canada will offer 24 cash bursaries to Grade 12 students who can convey their passion for a chosen subject in the 2006 Quest for Excellence Bursary Program.

The program encourages Grade 12 students in Western Canada to write an essay on one of the following subjects: Leadership, Sports, Technology & Trades, Performing Arts, Fine Arts and Community Service.

Twenty-four students will be awarded a RE/MAX Quest for Excellence Award, each valued at $500. Application forms can be found on RE/MAX of Western Canada’s website at www.remax-western.ca. The application deadline is March 10, 2006 and award recipients will be notified by May 5, 2006.

In 2005, more than 971 entries were received from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. “Our previous award recipients of this award have demonstrated a passion and commitment in their area of interest well beyond their age level. It is our distinct pleasure to be offering the ‘Quest for Excellence’ awards to those who are so clearly deserving” said Elton Ash, Regional Executive Vice President.
