Accessible Trick or Treat
Halloween is just around the corner, which means the Accessible Trick or Treat initiative is in full swing!
What is Accessible Trick or Treat?
In 2018, RE/MAX helped introduce the Accessible Trick or Treating program, a movement that aims to make Halloween accessible for all by removing barriers. When a homeowner puts the Accessible Trick or Treating sign on their front lawn, they are pledging to make their property accessible by handing out treats from the garage or the foot of the driveway.
How can you get involved?
The Accessible Trick-or-Treating program was piloted in Ontario last year and saw incredible success, with more than 2,000 signs distributed by RE/MAX agents across their local communities. The program garnered thousands of social media mentions and millions of media impressions on prime news channels, such as CTV and CBC. Because of this, we’re bringing the program back and expanding it across Canada – and it’s bigger and better.
You can order your own Accessible Trick or Treat signs, customizable to your name, office name and phone number, which you can then distribute to your clients and other community members who want to participate.
(Please note, on average it takes 2-3 days for delivery after ordering your signs. When ordering, please take timing into account, as once you receive the signs they will then need to be distributed to your clients before Halloween) We advise that you order your signs by Friday, October 11th to allow time for printing, shipping and distributing.
How does this benefit you?
Ordering customized signs is a great way to advertise and stay top-of-mind with clients and others who may be seeing your signs. The signs can also be re-used so your clients can continually use them year-after-year. This is an amazing initiative that a lot of consumers are excited about, so by participating, you can show your support for both the initiative, as well as your community!
If you miss the order deadline
Generic signs will be made available to consumers for FREE in all Home Depot locations across Canada (excluding Quebec) from October 20th to 31st. If consumers are inquiring about how to get their own signs, please encourage them to check their local Home Depot locations.
